- Κύρια αντικείμενα ενδιαφέροντός του αποτελούν οι ιογενείς ηπατίτιδες, η μη αλκοολική νόσος του ήπατος, η αλκοολική ηπατοπάθεια, η ηπατική νόσος στους ασθενείς με Θαλασσαιμία, η ηπατοπάθεια της κύησης, ο καρκίνος του ήπατος, η Προληπτική Ιατρική, η ανάπτυξη νέων αλγορίθμων διαφορικής διάγνωσης σε συνεργασία με συστήματα τεχνητής νοημοσύνης.
- Εργάζεται από το 2004 ως Παθολόγος Ηπατολόγος και από το 2007, από τη θέση του Διευθυντού Παθολογίας – Ηπατολογίας σε μεγάλα Iδιωτικά Νοσοκομεία των Αθηνών (ΓΕΝΙΚΗ ΚΛΙΝΙΚΗ, ΒΙΟΚΛΙΝΙΚΗ, ΙΑΣΩ General, ΙΑΤΡΙΚΟ ΑΘΗΝΩΝ, ΥΓΕΙΑ, ΜΗΤΕΡΑ, ΕΥΡΩΚΛΙΝΙΚΗ, ΙΑΣΩ Αμαρουσίου).

- Μέλος και συντονιστής της Επιτροπής Ιογενούς Ηπατίτιδας, της Επιτροπής για το Εθνικό Σχέδιο Δράσης για την εξάλειψη της Ηπατίτιδας και της Επιτροπής Θεσμικής Ανασυγκρότησης του ίδιου Οργανισμού.
- Αναπληρωματικό μέλος του ΔΣ του Κεντρικού Συμβουλίου Υγείας του Υπουργείου Υγείας και μέλος της Επιτροπής Ανασυγκρότησης του Εθνικού Συμβουλίου Δημόσιας Υγείας.
- Γράφει ποίηση και έχει δημοσιεύσει τρεις ποιητικές συλλογές.
